Does anyone have a picture of the oil gun door and mounting for a DF520? I cut the tin on my boiler and removed the plates blocking the port, and what I saw wasn't what I was expecting. I have a few ideas on how to fabricate one, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel.
This is what the outside of the mounting looks like
But I can't find any pictures of the part that is inside the firebox

The part that goes inside the firebox is the nose of the burner that mounts on that plate.

Yeah but what holds that black tube/mounting burner flange in? There must be some kind of clamp/burner door assembly. There are no mounting holes in the side of the boiler, so it must clamp in some way on the inside of the firebox.coaledsweat wrote: ↑Fri. I could just down and dirty weld a piece of 4" schedule 40 black iron pipe in the side to slide the burner tube into, but I'd like to do it some kind of right.
That burner mounting/door assembly is like 400 bucks from EFM.

This is the plate. Fiberglass gets sandwiched between the plate and boiler wall. The burner mount threads into the plate sucking the plate and burner mount together.

Cool thanks,
So I'm guessing 3 pieces of flame cut plate with one being a spacer. Is it open on the bottom so it doesn't get full of fly ash and other crud?
3/8 inch plate?

I guess that's not a problem
