I'm running thru the hwht right now. i don't have a prv on the bypass of the hot water piping so i left the water heater in the loop and it's still turned on.
the electric bill dropped 40 dollars a month since the efm 350 has been running and the domestic coil added to the plumbing.

If there is no check valve between your well pressure tank and the water heater you should not need one.lincolnmania wrote: ↑Thu. Apr. 29, 2021 1:53 pmshould i have a expansion tank on the hot water piping? there never was one in this house.

Just to add to what Rob said, the bladder in the well pressure tank will absorb expansion from the hot water side similarly to how an expansion tank would. Provided that there aren't any check valves in between.
