So I was looking at my ash bucket and was just wondering if I’m getting a good burn from the buck I’m burning I’m on the 3 setting for feed out of 6 and about 2/3 inches of ash at the end of grate but if I grab some of the ash and break a individual piece it’s still black in the center like it’s not completely burnt. Thanks everyone
Ps some on the top may have been from over the sides I get a little

Black centers in ash pieces isn't unusual but some of that ash in the tub almost looks like it fell in while still burning. Could be crappy coal too but then some of the ash appears completely normal.

That's strange, why would you be pushing coal over the side???
Also, are you remembering to pull the fines door open once every few days?
