I thought that I had seen every coal stoker video on Youtube. I was wrong, somehow I missed this one from 2010!

I'm gunna guess that he is running just a little too much air.

Man, I bet that makes a mess on the interior walls!

What's up with the smoke pouring out of the trash can bin?!

EFM was testing some modified pots in 2008. Not sure how many they made or if that is one of them. I know they had a dealer in Wyoming because I built their website. It was older couple and they retired since, think they sold mostly the electric boilers.

I hope he was able to resolve that smoking can issue!

What we need is a stoker that can feed junk mail into the pot then we would be well on our way to free heat.

Richard is right. After noticing the really large, EFM blue coal bin with the doghouse, I realized that this video is one that our very own "Stokerman" posted. Stokerman worked at the EFM Emmaus PA boiler plant up until the end in 2010. At that time they were experimenting with pellets, lignite and every type of Bit coal you can think of!

Here is a link to his channel. He was using a new EFM DF 520 with a larger ash ring. It was connected to the hot water heating system in the factory. This enabled him to have very long run times as needed.

I recall there being a story where some guy would sign up for anything he could find online, those card you fill out at stores etc. He was heating his house with the junk mail.
