Anyone with Keystoker Kaa-2 who can recommend an ash tub that fits? For my buddy and I'm not there to measure.
I have a Kaa-2 and i use a small one from amazon 5 Gallon. Used to be $8.99
Now $16 . I guess the shipping was killing them.Home Depot sells a slightly smaller tub for $10.72 . Im now In the process of making 2 Square tubs one from aluminum and one from Stainless steel as the galvanized only last about 1 season, mostly because i wet them down to cut the dust when dumping into buckets.

Tractor Supply has a4.5 gallon for $12.
Interesting about making your own out of aluminum. Where do you get the material? I checked McMaster Carr but do see it there.

I posted this when I installed these almost 3 years ago. The tubs seem to be holding up really well.
In order to slide into the pocono required making a circle into a square

The original tub for the pocono is 15x15x9. This tub might reduce capacity by about 10%.
I rounded the top corners of the milk crate with a sander to make it easy to get the tub started.
Rounding all 4 corners of the crate also prevents dimpling of the tub.
Press down on the tub and rubber hammer until the tub slides right into the stove.

7 gallon hot-dipped tub purchased at tractor supply. $13.00

Great idea ,

I have one that came with my boiler and two I bought at Tractor Supply. My intension is to always have two empty but most times I empty them when all three are full. I cover each with a 30 gallon contractor bag, take them outside and dump them upside down. I now wear a dust mask when I do it. As much as I love the heat and as easy as it is, its still a pain in the ass...err ash.

I bought 3 of the "Behrens 1 bushel galvanized sheet steel utility basket" at Tractor Supply for about $18/ea.

Between the Reading coal burning to a nice fine, lightweight ash and these new buckets, it's not too bad changing ashes again.

I'm feeling like a SOPHISTICATED coal burner now. LOL

Thanks for the suggestions. Now to get with my buddy and get him some ash pans, too, for his.

I upgraded to the #2 pan as I already had one and modified it as Don showed. I really just put it on it’s side and put some pressure on it. Real easy. So much nicer than that small round pan in the 130m. 2 days and I couldn’t of gone another day plus it catches everything.
