I know this is old news for you guys in the heating trade.
But if you have not used ProPress fitting for copper pipe , try it out ! You need the press-head, barrow one , or rent it.
If you have more than say, 10 sweat joints to do, or if you just don't want to sweat pipe.
You will be impressed !

I'm not a fan of Pro Press. The fittings are very pricey and it looks like crap. And if you have to make a repair it's crap X10. And you will have to, count on it.

I use Propress and am very happy and to date no leakers. Half inch only though ... good stuff. Another spell as FFs podiatrist I guess.

Bigger fittings crimp up a wee bit crooked from what I have seen and if your labor is free the economics come into question for the list of fittings real fast, not to mention the tool cost unless it's used for free.

Time will tell on performance, I know they have been around for a while now.
This was a new one for me. I'm tying a 700 EFM to an existing oil boiler at a buddy's house. He had a ProPress from a friend at work and that's what he wanted to go with.
It's amassing how much you can do in a day with this system.
Oh, and this was on 1 1/4'' copper tubing.

I see lots of pro press on commercial jobs. Med gas is about the only thing that gets soldered regularly. I dont have any idea how good or bad they are, but they get used a lot.

I have propress fittings on my system. 1 1/4” it’s 20 years old no problems to date

I have seen antifreeze weep from Propress fittings. It's not a big deal, but it is ugly. We don't do enough piping to justify the cost where I work.

Antifreeze by nature is very hard for no leaks even with threaded fittings. There is a special threads paste which is not cheap to buy.
