Cleaned my Keystoker today and my Draft Control weight came off. I think I can rivet it back on but the back of it is rusting pretty bad. So should I replace it. If so are they all the same?
Then my door seals look very flat and wonder if I should replace them. And shouldn't they been one piece with the ends meeting at the bottom?
I cleaned out my chimney cleanout door and looked up the chimney. Looks clear but should I get it brushed out?- nepacoal

Buy a new baro... supplyhouse.com usually has them in stock and can have it to you in one or two days. Get another RC just like your old one.
Those are flat gaskets by design. If they are not hard and brittle, they are still good
I think the recommended cleaning interval for chimneys using anthracite coal is around every hundred years or so. If you have checked it for dead animals and nests, it should be good to go.

Well so much for supporting local business. Found my baro at our local Electrical & Plumbing supply store. They charged me $76 + tax = $82
I could have gotten it from supplyhouse for just under $65 shipped and have it Thursday. O well next time if I can wait I will.

Would you feel the same way if you needed a critical component in the middle of the winter? There is a cost to sitting on inventory, especially if it doesn't turn over quickly.ShawnTRD wrote: ↑Tue.
