was pressure testing the system this morning with my ryobi 18v tire inflator.
all was well till it got to 95 psi and the hose blew off the inflator lol. just out of warranty too, the clip that holds the hose on split off.
took mom to the doctor and went to lowes and got a small craftsman air compressor for 95 bucks. wil probably keep it for the house for my air nailers.
system held 100 psi for 30 minutes, i let the pressure down to 40 psi until the building inspector gets here.
i made a video yesterday, was really tired and sore when i made it.

Is the electrical being done by the general contractor, by yourself or by an actual electrical contractor? You always wanna make sure your electrician is up to snuff. Shorts in a pole building will light that thing up like a match to straw

i'm the electrician. took electricity class in vo-tech 30 yrs ago. i have a 2011 nec code book here that a friend gave me. he also gave me brand new tamper proof 20 amp gfci's for my garage outlets. also 20 amp receptacles and some switches. stuff left over from wiring his place, with that and what i got i'm covered. shop is getting 100 amp service.
only wiring going thru the walls will be for the exterior lights. i'm using mc cable mounted to the surface of the steel liner.
they poured the concrete today. thank God i did not need the little wooden box or the repair couplings.
they poured before the building inspector got there too. i made a video last night of the system holding 100 psi for 15 minutes....i called the builder (amish guy) and he insisted he was pouring the slab at 8 am.
they worked hard today, they were here till after 5......they got a long ride, the shop is in lykens.
ok on with the vids.

42" down into hard shale.
Each post has a precast concrete pad under it.
I also ordered the wrapped 4x6 posts. it was 600 dollars more for the sixteen posts but they will never see any ground water with the wrap on them.
these are the posts that rocky mountain structures used on my pole barn. https://www.advanced-sol.com/greenpost.html

tried breaking thru the concrete with hand tools, got about 3" in and hit some really hard rocks, they are huge.
the idiot that built the house only used a form on one side of the wall. now that i see the outside three foot down, i can see the size of the rocks and how poor the concrete is.
the 1999 drain pipe project got dug up and is not doing anything, the inside of the pipe is bone dry.
going to rent a core drill in the morning to get a hole thru the rocks so i can get the insulated pex thru the wall.
plan is to put the rest of the insulated pex thru the wall and run it to where the boiler goes.
one last thing for the night, i gotta decide if i'm gonna ditch the oil furnace or keep it for the air handler for central a/c. i have the powervent, i could put it on the opposite wall and buy the kit to run with the oil burner.
i remodeled a few rooms already with the heat vents installed.
