Garage build, heating questions.

yes we made a lot of mistakes too when we built the addition. i was 20 and my dad was 50.
got a friend of mine that works as a roofer to install the second floor windows. there was more rotten sheathing.
the roof leaked for several years and no one noticed until after dad passed away and i moved home. it was installed in 2013 but the guy my dad hired had no clue what he was doing. there was no flashing other than blobs of clear silicone caulk everywhere. roof leaked real bad and did much damage. we had the roof replaced again in 2018 but the damage to the walls already done.

the underground pipe to my garage is getting water in it. water runs out of the pipe into the basement when it rains. only reason i noticed is because i fixed another 40 foot of basement wall.

now what? pipe the water to the sump pump?

If the pipe is open, damp air is likely being drawn through the pipe and creating condensation. Try blocking the high end of the pipe and see if the water stops.

yes. i have a very high water table, i'm at the bottom of a hill in this valley. i had the garage built above grade for that reason. the basement is below grade. the pipe comes thru the wall about 18" off the floor
it's the black corrugated pipe that the insulated pex-al-pex is contained in.
kinda wish i would have run it thru the wall differently now, like up out of the ground and in. was trying to install to code.

this house is a real mess and i am burned out on it right now.

my anxiety levels are thru the roof. i replaced 12 windows and now i'm thinking i should have changed all 16 of them.

the siding is going on the house soon.

and we are out of savings.

i have the reading stove running for now. i will be able to get the efm, but i doubt i will have it cleaned and painted and fully installed this season.

i never expected such problems with the house.

here is my new basement entrance before siding and shingles. i have ice and water shield on the roof till my roofer friend comes this weekend to install the flashing and shingles.

pipe in the garage end has the cap on it that came with
this is gallons of water. i have not cut the pipe downstairs yet, about 30 foot is coming thru the basement wall.
only thing i can think of is there is a defect in the pipe and ground water is getting in

This is of little help to you now but if what you have is the "closed cell foam pex all pex"
that is $15.00+ a foot it should not be letting water in the tube.

Are you positive it is leaking out of the pipe and not between the pipe and the wall?

If the water really is leaking out of the pipe, it means the pipe is compromised and your heat loss to the ground will be extremely high.

Or just a pint every now and then...
Confirm from the pipe...
The pipe probably went bad and is letting ground water in...
Is it only 30 feet...
It can be temp run above ground for now...
Boiler in garage or house...
For repair 6" or 8" solid sch 40 or 80 pipe...
depends on load on ground...
make water tight an then you run the 4" stuff inside...
A sleeve setup keep it straight...
then you just pull and replace the boiler piping...

When I first lit my boiler this year, I had a good amount of water coming out of my buried piping into my basement, but it stopped after about 6 hours, I’m thinking it was a massive amount of condensation in the corrugated piping? But you say yours only happens when it rains?

It’s not that it’s just coming in around the protrusion through your basement wall?

I guess the idea of a Concord Grape trellis will be your best option as it will be less difficult to do rather than digging up the buried pex and starting all over again.
