I’ve been following the site for years so I figured I post some pics of my rebuilt 1960 130. It was in decent shape when I purchased it and it was completely gone through. I’ve added some pics since you guys like to see new pics.

A little more info:
Purchased for $500. Bottom of fire pot need repair so I had the updated domestic flange put in at the same time. Had every part chemically dipped to remove all rust. All new bearings and bushings. New fan and fan box rebuild. Swirl chamber ring was in good shape. Gearbox good condition. Changed oil. New brass bushing for the auger. Purchased a second one for parts for $300

Thanks! The previous owner of the parts unit said it leaked and he did not want to mess with it but the only place I could see a possible problem was the domestic coil area. I should fix it but all the good spare parts mean more to me

Welcome to the forum,

It's nice to have another 130M driver in the club, and, WOW! What a beauty!!! You even painted the Mashalltown gauge. What are you heating with this little gem?

Just an old drafty little house less than 1500 square feet. The house has forced air heat so I have it piped to a heat exchanger. I’ve enjoyed reading your build threads of the past few years.

Thanks! I'm glad they were helpful to you. Your 130M will have no problem heating a drafty 1500 sq ft house. It will have heat to spare.

Thanks for all the nice replies. Everything I’ve read here from ALL the members has helped me on the rebuild. I enjoy rebuilding old American made machinery. Most of the stuff in my shed is older than me. I don’t have any plans for upgrades yet but it will probably happen. First fire was 2 weeks ago still trying to get used to this automatic setup. It is awesome compare to the last 13 years with an OWB. My ash is 2-3 clicks and anthrastat at 130 and fire seems to be proper height thanks to you guys however I am getting baseball size clinkers. Otherwise everything else seems fine.

Open the doors and windows, the old girl should be able to make football sized clinkers if you put her to work! :D

Clinkers? It's an Axeman, they spit them out like watermelon seeds. Not a problem.

That’s good to know. I guess I would say all is well then. It sure is nicer than the OWB with all the shoveling snow off of tarps and wheelbarrow LOAD(S) of ashes each week. I appreciate your reply

Now you need a comfy chair with wheels.

I’ve got the perfect chair. It’s a 1950’s aluminum fireproof chair that I found cleaning scrap out of an old garage. A fridge is a good idea too. I’m going to put a little workbench back there to work on winter projects possibly.

McGiever I also have a separate asking motor that I may try to incorporate next season all thanks to you
