looking for any one that has the gray 500-207 gray bin switch for auger feed control, looking for info on it make model etc.

The Hopper Sensor detects the presence of coal near the sensor. When coal feeds from the hopper such that the level of coal is below the switch, the Auger will engage and fill the hopper to a point just above the switch. This sensor is for Coal Guns with automatic augers only.

There are 2 different sensors used. They are NOT interchangeable, but can be quickly identified by color. This one (see photo) is gray colored.

For that amount of money a new vacuum system with 2 big shop vacs, a dust deputy, Y's, 4 lengths of PVC pipe, 15 degree elbows, glue and pipe cleaner, a barrel and plumbing parts could reach Cadillac quality.

A coal vac won't work with Pea sized coal. There is too much air between the larger pieces. Besides that, an auger is a much more heavy duty way to convey coal than relying on vacuum cleaners.

For everyone's future reference, which brand and model number did you find for $99, and where did you find it?

Is there also some sort of control (relay?) that must be purchased in conjunction with this sensor so it will switch an auger motor on/off?

kinda funny in process of ordering new prox switch, now the eye I have must know, it starting working just fine yesterday. some how it knows?? shape up or ship out?? still will be nice to cover up hole in lid where current eye looks in.
