Don, if you read the forums for the outdoor wood boiler guys, many who pipe with the Logstor/Thermopex for even 200 foot runs report losing only 1 or 2 degrees of temperature from boiler to the end of the line.
The Delta T is only part of the equation. The bigger part is how many BTU's you loose per hour. This doesn't seem to be a problem for OWB's because wood is "free".
I am only trying to make the point that with a normal residential boiler,coal, gas or oil, you will not get away with this logic, it will bite you.

I lost the boiler as well lucky I did not burn down my house it took the boiler almost 8 hrs. to cool down so that I could put water in it to see if it would hold water which it did not.
