Is a koker to big

Hello been reading for a while but my first post i want to heat my garage with coal about 1100 sq ft I found a good deal on a keystoker koker 160,000 btu I would be running it as a stove for now wit out ductwork would the unit be ton ok much for this space ilike the option of adding ductwork later

Should be fine...A properly located thermostat will hold it to a idle after the set temperature has been reached.

is your garage insulated?
the koker is rated for 160,000 btu iirc.....you should be fine. i have heated more with less....i paid for it tho in coal mileage.

Go for it. It will idle when needed, and crank up to recover when you open the doors.

Thanks for the replies most likely going.to get it this weekend the garage is fully insulated with r19 exept the doors which are just wood garage doors

I heat my double-wide, 1200 sq. ft. with R19 in the cathedral ceiling to 73°F throughout and a 30'X40' shop to 65°F, as well as 50 gallons of water on an AA130. It doesn't break a sweat.

You will have no problem at all doing what you want to do.

Once again the advantages of a stoker, they can idle next to nothing, and you can put the boots to it when necessary.
