For a Coal Gun that new (plus with the auger) $5 grand is not too much at all, particularly if it has UL and ASME. The biggest negative is the direct drive fan motor.

You can tell it's very new since it has the direct drive ashing motor....

Stoker Coal Boiler: Alternative Heating Systems s130 Coal Gun

Post by seangove » Sun. Jul. 04, 2021 11:37 am

I know I am piggy backing off an old post but it is relevant. My father is getting to the age that humping tons of coal into the boiler isn't very attractive (I know - hard to believe). He has an s130 that is about 6 years old, immaculate condition (see pics), and although it does not have the h stamp or UL rating, it does have the belt drive motor which has been 100% trouble free, and also added the option for the domestic hot water coil. He's recently switched over to natural gas and doesn't have a need for it any longer and would rather turn the old boiler room into a tool shed.

We are asking $4500. Boiler is located in Upstate NY, but will delivery within a 4-5 hr radius. Price includes plumbing shown in the picture, expansion tank, air separator, ash pan, and a taco circulator pump for the dump zone. Let me know if you have any questions, concerns, etc and will do my best to get your prompt answers.
