Assembled boiler base with new plates, gaskets and bushings.
Boiler set on base using chainfall. Moved over and set to it's final location. Piping started. Oops, forgot cast iron baffle. Luckily squeezed it in from underneath through the ashdoor.
Kevin you can always get a coupler later 69" is not that long being you are using a drum but with a coupler on the Augerkevin12973 wrote:Coal berner, I wrapped the coal pipe twice with 5/8 round gasket. On the barrel end I used a hole saw 2 3/8 ,so it fits tight. The total length or coal pipe is 69". Its one piece and the auger is 2 piece. I thought since I am using a barrel I could easily slide the barrel out of the way and clean ?out the pipe. I hope I am not going to regret this . Any other thoughts ? Please keep them comming as I am completly new to this and need all of the advice I can get. Thanks for all the great imfo so far.
