I am having a problem with the connecting rod coming loose on my s20 stoker. The pin comes out where it is attached to the feed lever on the top. I am wondering what holds this pin in. It has the washer and clip on the outside end. I noticed on the inside end of the pin there is some striations. I am wondering if they are supposed to fit in a matching pattern inside the feed lever, and I've got something that is stripped out there maybe.
The pin is # 9433741
And the feed lever is #94337
for reference to the items I am talking about.

Is this the pin you are talking about?
That pin is press-fit, and there are a few different ways to fix it. You can burr the pin with a punch and then press it back into place, fix it with a bearing retaining compound, or bring it to a machine shop and let them figure it out. If the fit is not real sloppy, I would probably just use some Loctite Bearing Mount. They have a few different kinds, but something like this should do the job:

Yes, it is that pin. It fits fairly tight, and tension holds it in for a while. I will look into getting some bearing retaining compound on it.

You could always drill and tap it with the pin out and then use a set screw.

I put permatex high temp sleeve retainer on it and it appears to have solved the issue.
