I've run range (nut and pea mix) through my Axeman with no problems. That's through the auger too. I would think you could run straight nut with a hopper if it isnt real big nut.

If the AHS Coal Gun doesn't "bridge" the nut chunkier pieces at the lower hopper neck you could do alright???

Toss it in if it’s not to big, just keep an eye it.

Hopper fed in a coal gun, nut should be fine, especially mixed with smaller sizes.
I have an aa130m which combusts any size, buck and larger, but it reliably feeds only buck and/ or pea through the auger and barrel set-up I have. Last week I had a couple/three bags of nut which I threw on top of the buck and pea. The nut bridged at the opening of the auger’s doghouse, preventing auger feed.
