When I first started heating with coal I had an Alaska furnace that had a glass door. Switched to the Keystoker KA2.
I miss that bit of glow!
So is there a way to do a retrofit?

- Location: PA, Southern York County!
- Stoker Coal Boiler: Gentleman Janitor GJ-5, Van Wert VA-600, Axeman Anderson130 X3.
- Hand Fed Coal Furnace: Harman SF3500 reduced down to 3 grates connected to its own plenum
- Coal Size/Type: Rice, Chestnut and whatever will fit through the door on the Harman
- Other Heating: Noth'in but COAL! Well, Maybe a little tiny bit of wood
I would only do it if I had a spare fire door. Basically, you buy a piece of woodstove glass, cut a hole in the fire door and mount the glass in it. Then enjoy the pretty coal fire!
