I pulled the trigger today and wired the money to the guy in ct for the ahs 260. He has a forklift to load with that he unloaded with and its still on the pallet crate from ahs. My question is this, once it arrives on my end, I have a large tractor with a large pig pole that is capable of lifing the unit from the lifting eye but wanted to know if its safe to do this or is this eye just for setting the boiler on and off of the base,, if its bolted to the base it should be no problem, I can call ahs tomorrow but just wondered what you guys thought or knew...……...update, just secured the shipping too, supposed to be picked up after noon on Monday,,, I could sure use that thing tonight, we got the heat pump going and the radiant being heated somewhat with the rinnia tankless,, 17 degrees here,,, come on 260!!!!!

No problem. You could put an eyebolt through a pipe bushing and lift them from the center tapping.

I have lifted mine with the eyelet, my eyelet is more than capable of holding everything.
Mine does separate from the base, after removing the tin covers, there are simply 4 bolts to disassemble. This is a eshland though. AHS May be different.

I simply never had a need to find out if mine came apart. Contra to what I posted above, I now guess it may.

Hello Larry,
When I looked at the AHS S130 at "that (*&^%$%^&*" coal dealer it was all in one piece on the shipping pallet

Page 32 of the manual shows it coming apart with the 4 bolts just like I described and showed mine coming apart.

They are shipped completely assembled with the electrical components loaded in the ash basket.
