- Stoker Coal Boiler: Several EFM 520 refurbs...one 900, one 1300 mega-stoker
- Hand Fed Coal Stove: (2) Warm Morning Stoves
Did the same very recently. In my case the boiler is likely scrap yard material but everything else is in great condition.
Clean it up, store it away on the shelf. Someday you will be glad you did.

Awesome find we have a pile of extras just like that on shelves just in case you never know when your going to need it
The ratchet mechanism ...or should I say where the arm is attached to the gear box is different...instead of the slide that goes over the ratchet gear to adjust feed rate you move the pivot point on a small slotted arm that is attached to the gear box. Can someone date this?

That is the older design, but I don't know the date when they went to the newer method of the sliding shield on the ratchet. Also the older units had a larger gear reducer.
Mine is kind of a hybrid so to speak. It has the feed adjustment on the ratchet, but it also has the older gearbox with the slotted adjustment for the feed. So I guess I could probably go to 15 teeth on the feed? LOL. I run it at 3 in the summer and 4 in the winter.
