Thanks for reply, Frank.
Badger Supply no help?

I called yesterday. They seemed very helpful. They needed $300 down, I would get it back apon return. I was hoping maybe someone local would have one. Then I don't have to worry about shipping.
If need be that's the route I'll have to go. I'm still waiting on the PEX to be delivered anyhow.

Gotcha, hopefully someone chimes in w/ a local source for you.
Wolff Bros. may be worth a shot, they're in Ohio.

I purchased my from badger, $70 I think? 1/1/4
I just checked it’s 90 now... I don’t know if you can buy the plates to do 1/1/2...
328 for the kit to do 1-2” isn’t that bad. I know it’s your money.. but if your gonna have that size stuff in your system, it’s best to have the equipment for repairs if need be.

We used rehau everloc fittings in our hydronic installation at my father in law's. But I think our tool only goes up to 3/4"
I agree I should definitely own a set. Just trying to get by for the time being. I've already through my budget out the window with this project. Still have a lot to do and would rather invest in the system to get it done. Worries about the tools later.hotblast1357 wrote: ↑Wed. Just re read your install thread, you got some funky sized pex?
Can you use pex al pex fittings for that 1/1/2 O.D. Pex??
I’d give badger a call and get the dimensions for the pex al pex fittings, they don’t require any special tools.

When I talked with them yesterday it was either crimp style or threaded clamps. But they stated the threaded style are for temparary use and crimp is the best for long term. I added a picture of the clamp. Also see the PEX size chart off of badgers page. My thermopex has the same dimensions as 1-1/2.hotblast1357 wrote: ↑Wed. Yup just use those stainless threaded clamps, I’ve seen them on many outdoor boiler installs.
Like rob says, if there not buried in the ground or in the wall where u can’t get to them, they should be fine.
