Hi guys. Newbie here with a couple of problems.
First off ,my son and I resurrected a k4 from the 80's to replace an OWB that we had in operation for 17 years. It finally wore out enough to not warrant another year.(And It was wearing me out supplying 10 cord of wood a year)
My problem is that the feed bolt slips into neutral after about 100 hours of operation. The unit is only idleing right now, but I want to correct this before heating season kicks in. I was thinking maybe the feed spring is weak. What do you all think?

Sounds like you have the original KA-4 and not the newer KAA-4 model.

You could call Keystoker about that spring condition. They help lots of folks over the phone.
There number is posted here in several threads.
