Unless I added it up incorrectly, we only burned 350 lbs. of coal in August, or 11.3 lbs. per day. A new record low for us. No outfires. Blaschak pea.

Hand Fed Coal Furnace: Harman SF3500 reduced down to 3 grates connected to its own plenum
Coal Size/Type: Rice, Chestnut and whatever will fit through the door on the Harman
Other Heating: Noth'in but COAL! Well, Maybe a little tiny bit of wood

Sometimes I think your just try'in to make me feel bad Larry. :cry:

I've never got below 14.5 pounds per day in the Summer. This year not below 17.5.

In years past I would dial the Keystoker back to save coal and would always inevitably go too far and lose fire. I have since adopted the K.I.S.S. method. She runs a bit hot and burns a bit more coal but I can sleep well knowing momma ain’t gonna be calling bitching about the fire going out.
