Hi guys,
Hope everyone is doing well, been a long time since I posted. To me that's a testament to the reliability of my K-6 and the Keystoker build. 10 years of nice warm winters.
At the end of last season I had some feed issues. Emptied the hopper and found the pusher bar was hung in an upward position. I freed it up, but no joy. It was the end of the season so I just shut it down.
Getting ready for this winter, I just got to working on it. I found the problem wasn't the bar but that the shaft was frozen up. I took it apart and feed the shaft and "bearings". Cleaned and lubed, now everything moves nice.
My question is the position of the bar when fully forward. Right now I have it set so the bar stops about 1/4" from the firebox. Does that sound about right? I'm burning rice.
Thanks,
K-6 Pusher Bar Placement
