My Kaa-2 has 3 grates.... Of course, the physical size of your boiler is way too big to be a Kaa-2.
KA are of a different stoker design than your KAA...only thing the same is that both are Keystokers. ;)

Actually, all the KA (3), KB (4), KC (5), KD (6), KE (7), KF (8), and the KG (9) (@ 528,000 BTU) are of the same design and grate (numbers) go up accordingly and are all inclined flat-bed stokers. Whereas, KAA are just flat-bed and not inclined and max out @ 85,000 BTU.

Yes, what I was getting at is; I believe the literature of my Kaa-2 says two grates. Yet, the Kaa-2 has three.

Both Oliver's KAA-2 and my KAA-4-1 dual fuel unit have the same three inch by 14 inch grate stoker.

The Keystoker literature I have states that the KAA-2 is rated for 400 square feet.
The KAA-2 has a net BTU of 72,000 B.T.U. per hour and a gross B.T.U. per hour of 90,000 BTU per hour for 400 square feet.

The KAA-4 and 4-1 have a net BTU rating of 102,000 B.T.U. and a gross B.T.U. rating of 120,000 B.T.U. for 537 square feet.
MY old Riello oil burner operating on fuel oil and kerosene was rated for 145,000 gross B.T.U. from what I remember.
I have a .65 gallon per hour nozzle in it now and will probably install a .50 nozzle in it before I use it for oil again if ever.
I do not know off hand what the Riello burner set up for propane by keystoker provides for a minimum and gross BTU.

I do know that keystoker wants almost $800.00 plus freight for it from their factory in Pa. and the almost the same money for a single grate stoker and adapter plate plus the freight charge.

I have to order a short burner tube and short electrodes for my unit sometime as it sticks out too far but that is in the future if and when I start burning oil again but for now the tank is staying empty and I still have to install the plug in the oil burner to convert it to a two pipe system and the return pipe to tank for a two pipe system.
