My T-Stats were shut off on May 2nd. The AHS Coal Gun is now only running to provide for DHW. Since the boiler does not get shut down, if the weather makes a turn, all I will need to do is turn the T-Stats back on, but the hope is that this will not be the case.

My tstat s have been off for two days, but today is very humid, rain and t storms forecast, high of 70, but I just turned the basement radiators on to warm them up to dry it out a little. My 260 will stay lit until I run out of coal for DHW. I might get another month if I’m lucky.

Nothing. The windows are open. Lows of 60-65 at night for the last few days. With the coming of May, the April nightmare ended here.freetown fred wrote: ↑Fri. T-Stats still on here occasionally, especially today, dry out the dampness. I usually run my Van Wert Stoker until about June 10. With an underfed firepot it's great, on very low or no demand fire goes down to a glow almost looks as if it went out. I don't use a timer, stoker can go idle 7 or 8 hours without running...and on demand fire comes back up no problem. One big advantage of shoulder season, I only empty ash bucket about once a week. Is that great or what !

My weather has been like yours Fred, I fired up the KAA-4-1 this afternoon to get rid of the dampness. I expect to keep running until Wednesday at least.
