Gentleman Janitor refurb and install

Well, finally got it all hooked up and fired thanks to everyone's help on here. Everything went without a hitch pretty much. Only 2 small drips I need to take care of when it warms up outside a bit. A few questions for anyone that runs these, what draft do you run? I am seeing 0.05-0.06 for the most part taken a couple feet up the pipe. I blocked off the baro and it doesn't go any higher. Also, what temp do the load/viewing doors normally run? Mine reaches 400+ and is burning off the paint. If its that hot, I'll have to strip it and paint it with high temp paint. All in all though, I'm very please with how it runs. Fired it up Saturday, took 2 attempts, didn't get it the first try. But no problems since. Timer set for around 1.5 mins every 30. How does the ash ring and ash in the ash pan look? Garage is nice and toasty now, and not wasting coal idling a big firebed for when I want the heat like I used to.

Hi all, starting to think about the heating season again for this year and wanted to make some improvements before it gets here. I currently have my coal bin next to the boiler with an extension auger but the flex joint didn't allow me to drop the auger more than maybe 5 degrees from vertical so it's nowhere near the bottom of the bin. I built a false bottom last year but want to get the auger to the bottom now. Does anyone know what the flex coupler should look like? The one that came with it was essentially just an oversized piece of pipe that slid over the 2 auger shafts with a couple bolts. I was thinking of modifying a 1/2" drive rachet universal joint but wanted some input before I went through the trouble. Thanks!
