Hello Polarlight and fellow members,

About the rental and use of a one ton engine hoist:

I believe you mentioned it came in three parts; you could move each portion into place individually and you would have much better control over each load.

The engine hoist legs and the hoist beam itself can be extended forward before you pick the load up to move the three sections into place.

first: lift the ash pit on to the concrete half blocks, second: lift the pressure vessel on the ash pit and bolt it to the ash pit,
and third lift and mount the coal hopper on the boiler and bolt it into place.

What is the brand name of the coal stoker?

Gantry crane...
You can build one out of wood with wheels...
I am thinking about building one. Crane is a very handy tool in a garage, moving my sleds would be an easy job :-)

Make sure the hoist and straps are rated for the weight of the boiler.

I believe it is Callum,

The hopper has a tapered base and bolts to the coal feeding assembly from what I remember.
The twin auger set up is used to move the coal to the pot burner with a second lower auger that also has right hand rotation.

I wish I could remember the brand name of the stoker, it is right in the front on the hopper!!!!!!!

Boiler was stated earlier to be a Buderus made in Germany, stoker is (maybe even boiler too) by Zota and may be from Russia.

Here is a Russian Supplier of a 40Kw:
