It does not have a T-handle. I live in Conneautville, PA.
Thanks for the additional pics. Your direct vent does have the adjustment bar but it doesn't have a T handle, just a 90* bend in the end. I can see it in the last of the first set of pics you posted. As mentioned there is an allen head set screw that needs to be loosened to move it. But I would wait to move it until you get the correct manometer.

But seriously, see here the difference in handle length between 2 different DVs.
First one is another members from prior thread.

And second one is OPs

I didn't think to look at another users pic. Great comparison there McG!!

I hope they see that and realize it may be something simple and not as complicated as they think.

Hopefully they are just waiting for the manometer and will check back in to help with adjustments when it arrives.

I saw that but had the impression they didn't trust that one and wanted another since theirs kept reading 0. Probably i misread that. :? (I miss the I Dunno shoulder shrug emoji)

Not sure of the range and scaling on that one but a look alike I found has a range of +/- 55.4" h2o which is pretty large for our draft purposes and a .02 - .05 might not be within range of it. :?:

Stoker Coal Boiler: Keystoker Lite

Post by mdprincipal » Sat. Mar. 24, 2018 9:16 am

I see that there are many wanting an update. Just today, after a week of running without really heating my house, the thing just shut down. I pushed the safety button back in and it started back up. I unplugged it and am happy to be done with it. I'm sure that it is a simple fix for those who have the prior knowledge and time to tinker, but I do not. After reading through all of your posts, I realize that we have been miscommunicating because of my lack of familiarity of HVAC vocabulary, but I appreciate all you have done.

I can't believe that a "professional" installed this unit to run the way it does. Someday I would love to visit a home heated with one of these things. As for now, yes McGiever, it should be on the front lawn so somebody with the wherewithal and time to toil with it and redo all of the duct work can have the so-called best heat source known to man.

Sorry to hear that it won't work out for you. From your description I am sure that unit has enough BTU's to warm you up, but like you said it sounds like the install was a little "lacking" :no1:

Maybe down the road you will have some time to tinker a little to get it set up and want to revisit coal heat. We will still be here happy to help out if you get tired of wood!

Anyway, thanks for the update!

from the pics ,that looks like a pretty clean install , if I had to guess ,I would say that it just needs a little tweeking and you off and running , that unit should heat you out of the house. I once burned wood , free wood , a lot of work , did my research , on these forums , got myself a keystoker , took awhile to dial in , but now every day I wake up thanking myself for putting that thing in , I save soo much work and soo much money . I haven't touched a piece of wood in 3 years

Hello all , I am getting to the party late. But if the OP still has the unit I might be able to add something. The return air is small but he is getting air from both sides the 7x10 and the side with a filter. all be it not ideal its probably enough.

The venting is a mess all the elbow! My guess is the exhaust has not been clean in that 3 tons? It would probably be a challenge.

i just looked at my kokerlite and I am reading -.04 with my 't' handle at about 3.5". My exhaust vent looks like the other members.
