Seriously, A sound boiler if it has enough umph to do the job for $ 900. How do you pass on that.
Maybe it can’t walk on water, but it would likely heat hour home and hot water for cheap!
You’re hawkin wood now, the shovel and hopper will be a vacation in comparison.

Well at 46 I still like to cut wood..but staying up and walking out to the pole barn to bank it for the night with wood is starting to get old....the royall wood/coal is "rated" at 150k ...it heats the house and 30x30 insulated pole barn.

A Yellow Flame for 900 bucks is starting to be a good deal. You can probably get it for less as no one knows what they are. They have long thin grates like a Keystoker so you can tell roughly how much BTU by the number of grates. 3 grates is about 110,000 BTU.
If it is a newer one with heat exchange plates right above the fire, I would make an offer on it. Like the Losch, these were designed to burn Barley coal. But they will also burn whatever fits through the feeder. It is a moving grate stoker so no pusher to jam up.
Mark's Supply still makes grates, side rails and couplers for Yellow Flames and there is not much else that goes wrong with these. This is another very heavy duty stoker and boiler.
