What you saw was likely only a prototype. They have not yet appeared on the DS Machine website.

Yup, it's available. The first newly designed underfed stoker in decades. Scrapper was happy about how they were being produced. Meaning that they actually built it and used the correct (expensive) materials during production.
Sometimes what you design is not exactly what is produced.

Has the look of an EFM. Anything new or exciting about this unit over a tried and tested one? Just curious.

AS

Do a search for DS stoker and read through what comes up, there have been numerous threads on the subject so this way you can read through them all.

I have seen it in operation and I can provide that it is a very nicely built unit and I would consider it a great alternative for a new EFM as far as the price tag. Very few moving parts and common sense engineering.

Fellow forum member and EFM master Scrapper played a very important part in its development, this was engineered as a new design from the ground up and he based this upon his 40+ years of working with EFM units.

It is now out of the prototype stage and now on the market for this heating season.
