One could use sharkbite fittings and retain full ID but the are pricey
Yes the shark bites are very expensive. And they still have a piece that inserts into the inner diameter of the pex (at least the ones I used) so there is still some volume ability loss.

If u don’t want to mess with it again, simply don’t put all the connections in it!

If you can’t handle unwinding the pex, I’d be surprised if you could walk and talk at the same time, it’s really not that difficult..

I see pex used in new homes all over. Although they claim it's the latest, and greatest, I've never liked the looks of it. I'll stick with my copper......

I prefer old school...copper. I bit more money but well worth the investment. I've played with pex on the job, I'm not a fan!

The degree of difficulty of unwinding pex depends on the installation site. If you have a 32sqft lay down area for the ex and you are installing 2000ft of it above a existing drop ceiling, while working alone without a coil unwinder you would have serious problems. IF you are outdoors in the summer doing a embedded in concrete before pour it may be easier .

I did it.....me the brother in law and a migrant worker! A lot of wrestling but we got it, hope I'm done with it. Tried to unwind it on the floor then kept pulling it through. Not the prettiest install but will be functional.
