Installing a new thermostat that is not battery powered so it needs 24VAC (common wire). Can I get that from my Aquastat?

The schematic shows T terminals but I don't see them in the picture. Find the T T terminals and check them with a volt meter.

Measure across them with nothing connected to them.

Right now I have two wires in my thermostat. R (RC & R) and W
I think I need R (RC & R), W and C for the new thermostat.

Ok so multimeter on T and T equal 27V AC. Individually they equal 3 V volts and 12 V. So which one 3 or 12 V do I put my C wire on?

No you will need a transformer. Aquastat does not a C terminal. The "tt" is for R and W only! You could possibly smoke the aquastat if you put the c with the w.

Directions show for a heat pump. Look for directions for your aquastat.

An aquastat is only a switch, just like a T-Stat. Switches pass 'hot leg' current (when they close the circuit), they do not provide it. If the T-Stat needs power the poster above is correct, it must come from a 120 VAC to 24 VAC transformer.

I used number 2 as my 24VAC (common wire) and T & T for the switch Red and White wires. Seems to work.

Apparently the L7224/L7248 is well more than just an aquastat. Does it have a transformer on board??
