7 day tend results.
360 pounds of coal, 55 pounds of ash.
That's right in line with what I've experienced for Blaschak over the years. Did it total to roughly 16 -17 gallons by volume?
I think I may have to revise my earlier estimate of ~2.7 lbs/gal up to ~3.33 lbs/gal for ash from my AHS.

15.27% pretty good
Are those fairly accurate figures?

About 4.75 lbs./gallon for the ash then. I'll have to check a few times and see if that's what my ash weighs. I had it in my head that it was much lighter.

You are doing great given the HDD's your area experiences. A testament to the efficiency of the AHS (formerly Eshland) Coal Gun, and to the efficiency of your house, and the great job you must have done in insulating the underground run.

The eshland (ahs) seems to be very efficient!
As far as house efficiency, I just found last week that the cold air return for the hot air system wasn’t even hooked up in the attic, so I’ve been sucking outside air in, and heating it lol I dropped roughly 30 pounds this week after finding the issue and fixing it.
The underground line is how it came from bagderinsulatedpipe.com and I buried it in good gravel.

Talk about fresh air exchange! Fixing that should definitely help.
I have burned 2500 lbs since October 1st, during that time we had 1457 degree days. In 2011 I used 2775 lbs for the same period of time, which had 1455 degree days. Considering that since that time I have added two toddlers into the mix, I am pleased with the improvement.

You pretty much just set them and you're done making adjustments.

Yeah, last I heard he had it set at 160 degrees. We will see if that is enough.
