I thought you bought someones AHS auger system. Eshland became AHS decades ago. Is your auger that old?hotblast1357 wrote: ↑Wed. Feb. 20, 2019 5:34 amThis is a factory auger that came from eshland, designed to move pea coal for our boilers.

But when I search it I only found a used 60 rpm setup that would be to fast.
A quick eBay search found this

Your best bet is to ask whoever your buying the flex auger from. But I would think it would be the same size as the auger.FirstcoalstokerRon wrote: ↑Mon. Mar. 04, 2019 11:47 amIf I go with a 4 inch flex auger what size and type tube will I need and if I go with 6 inch what size and type tube ???

If the auger is a tad less than 4" in diameter, it would be best to search for 4" ID pipe. A 4" auger and 4" ID pipe seems like a recipe for jamming. Your pipe should have a smidgen more ID than the measured diameter of the auger.

Don't tell them you're wanting to move coal...tell them "Ya got hogs to feed".FirstcoalstokerRon wrote: ↑Mon. Mar. 04, 2019 12:24 pmI can not find any one that sells augers that will talk to me about what I need
When they come to realize that you are ready to send them a payment for goods they will have a whole new interest in talking to you...but until then you only have us.
If it is any help to you Ron, get a 3-1/2" flex-auger and put that into a 4" PVC pipe...easy-peasey ...this is only Pea Coal.

Have you looked at using the 3 inch black ADS coiled tubing with no drainage holes?
All you would need is a PVC pipe funnel and the large enough blower to make it work.

I like a blower idea, but with smooth pipe at least...13/16"-9/16" granular media thru a corrugated pipe...not pretty.
