Thanks for making up my mind, I like the idea of 22ga and continuous welds! Price isn't that much more and I like that long adjustable piece so I shouldn't have to cut anythingMcGiever wrote: ↑Sun. Nov. 26, 2017 8:09 pmwww.northlineexpress.com
FedEx and faster than you'd imagine.

Have my pipe ordered, build.com was the cheapest I found for the Heatfab stuff. Now I need to get that plumbing finished up before it gets here!

Well I finally started a fire yesterday and got thing rolling. My 100' of copper pipe didn't leak but I had issues with my copper to pex. In the 3 spots I needed to go from copper to pex I bought these pretty brass sweat connectors....I pressurized and bled the system and I was all good....till I started a fire and the pipes got hot. All 3 of those fittings leaked so I ran to Menards and bought sharkbites and I'm back in business. I am still running dirty and by that I mean I haven't ran my thermostat wire to my circulator controller so they are just running. I will work on that today. I'm having another very confusing problem in that my 2nd thermostat isn't working. I use 2, 1 controls the furnace normally and the other just runs the fan. Digging in I found I have no 24v power so I think I'm going to run a new wire since my current one seems to run to nowhere but it always worked? My friend hooked that up 10 years ago so I have no experience with control wiring. Did a quick google search and found I need to use the R and W on the thermostat and run them to the R and G on the furnace. I still need to build a storage bin also but I brought down 2 100 gallon horse waterers and between the 2 of them hold about a ton. It sure is nice having that heat in the house, thank you members for the constant reminder that my boiler would be better off in the house than the barn. I will try to get some pic put on today and my timing for getting this going couldn't have been better as it is going to get extremely cold this week. Merry Christmas all!

Pay attention to this video, this is exactly how I am setup and I only have the 1 thermostat that controls BOTH!
I simply purchased the aquastat from supply house for a little less money.

That is the best idea I've seen yet. I think that will work very nicely with my systemhotblast1357 wrote: ↑Mon. Dec. 25, 2017 9:49 am

It is the only way to do it as far as I’m concerned.

I had planned on a strapped on aqua-stat for my system, very similar to the set-up in the video, but the constant circulation that my system has, voids the value of that extra expense.
It is a good choice for those who choose not to use full time circulation in their system.

Windyhill that has nothing to do with it, u can use constant circulation with my setup.

I guess my non-college education words are not effective today.
I was merely saying that for my application, an aqua -stat would be a waste of money..
Constantly circulating HOT water is available on demand just a few feet from the air handler. If i had an aqua -stat strapped on,it would turn on my blower just a few seconds after the t-stat turns on the circulator , therefore the waste.
I was in no way implying that the OP could/could not or that any other poster could/could not use constant circulation.

No, my strap on aquastat is not controlling anything with the water, that’s what I’m trying to say here, what I posted for the OP, will allow him to use ONE thermostat to fire both his coal heat and his oil/propane/whatever it is heat.
INSTEAD of using TWO thermostats.

The aquastat is a three way switch, when the water is warm, the t-stat sends its signal to the blower motor and the zone valve to heat the house, when the water is cold, it fires the oil furnace.

The strap on aqua-stat is actually a t-stat of sorts.& i only used 1 t-stat... without the strap on t-stat.
The aqua-stat is not controlling anything with the water ??? REALLY !!!hotblast1357 wrote: ↑Mon. Dec. 25, 2017 2:39 pm
