A little birdie told me today that there might be a huge old boiler coming out of an apartment building this summer, a coal unit converted to gas, now red tagged by the gas company - gotta go or they shut off the gas. Have till end of heating season then its kaputski. I'm getting my dibs in now if it is just going for scrap - I want it. So there may be a boiler moving project in the works this summer... Still waiting to hear from the owner. :)

how big? Can it even come out? I have an old Kewanee mild steel double pass that was put in the basement before the floor joist were set. Only way to move that girl will be in pieces. I hate to think of piecing it back together!

Hi Sting,
I've got no idea yet on size or exact situation. I just heard news...no info...a third party is going to hook us up.
If it has to come out in pieces, then so be it. However I'd rather rent a crane to hoist it onto my flatdeck and just winch it out on skids or something. I'll have to see it to make a decision.
