Interesting, how are u controlling the in floor in the bathroom?
Just with valves. It was running wide open when we were using the Van Wert in the basement. Since the Axeman is running constant circulation, the floor was a bit too warm. I opened up the bypass line and shut the return line most of the way. That brought it back to normal.

Are u running the 140 temp?
For the house my Axeman is running much like your Eshland, it runs on the LO limit of the triple aquastat, pump constantly circulating. LO limit is set to 160* so at any given time the radiators see 140* to 160* degree water. When the garage calls for heat, it runs on the HI limit of 180*.

Hmm ok.

My pump is 24/7, with water temp of 155-165.

Last weekend I moved two of the radiators into the basement.

This past Winter we used the boiler in the garage for the entire season and never fired the basement boiler. This made the basement a little on the cool side. We are going to use the two radiators in the basement to warm it up.

It's been 4 years since I bought this nice 5 tube radiator and started this thread.

The gold one will go on the other side of the basement eventually.

I installed the White one between the work bench and the sink.

I ran 3/4" PEX up the wall, along the floor joist and into the supply and return headers.

I used 3/4" because I had everything to do the job in my spare parts, I didn't have to buy anything. Normally I would have used 1/2" for this.
I put a hose bib on the end of the radiator. This made it real easy to fill it up with a garden hose.

It's all filled up and power purged. It's currently just valved "ON" with no controls. Whenever the pump in the garage comes on, it will heat up. In warmer weather we will just shut it "OFF".

Does this mean the Axeman is staying the garage? With it working so well, I thought it might find a permanent home in the basement...

I have two of them. Maybe one in the garage AND one in the basement??? :D

I haven't made up my mind yet. The one in the garage is working better than I ever expected it to.
