Thanks, the electrical was definitely the worst part of this job. However it all works. Not as neat as I wanted, but I've got 10 lbs of wiring in a 3 lb bag. Used a little more bx than I wanted to, I'd rather have used emt but didn't have the space. Also, I wanted to mount the Logo so the screen was exposed. After destroying 5 box covers I found a hinged box and settled on that. Hoping to tear out the old boiler and finish this install tomorrow. I'll add the LP backup boiler in a few weeks. That will be a quick job as I left piping and electrical provisions for it. Actually my current boiler is operating off the new boiler wiring. My only question is what to set the aquastat on the auger tube to?

Already answered my question thanks! As well, thanks for the Logo. Much more than I expected and we'll worth it. I like the time you put into this program and the manual you assembled. Very easy to follow. Looking forward to playing with the settings and taking advantage of all its operations.

What are the aquastats for in each return leg?

No problem. I use a free program called "Ifranview" to rotate the pictures.

One aquastat is a 6006, it is set at 100° . If the temp goes below 100°, it kills the power to the EFM and will energize the oil boiler. The other aquastat is a 4006 and is set at 240° for a dump zone. With just a couple days of operation, I'm not even sure I need one as I haven't seen the temperature rise more than 5° on idle.
I really like the Hydrostat. This was my first install using one. I'm quite impressed, and the remote mounting is a bonus. Made the wiring much neater. The price is right and so is the quality, I'll be stocking these for replacements.

I have Hydrostats on five EFM's, they work great. Mine is the 3250 model.

You have discovered the benefit of thermal mass in a coal boiler...the temperatures are much more stable.

I've got the electrowell. Nice to not have to put in an additional LWCO. As well as re remote mounting kit, I also got the outdoor sensor. All for less than a Honeywell with less features.
