OK, where is the auger or conveyor to feed the animal? No way are you bucketing that hopper ever day. I was thinking that you might have an access above....and an ash auger to get the ash out also.
Nice job on the coring....first class, no one get hurt, no damage to the chimney. What are you heating? a small cottage with no windows...or roof?
