This is the first year that I had my efm stoker running 24/7. The heating load is light under 75k , 4 ratchets with more to come . My question is what are a normal volume of fines that you should get upon daily shaking. I am hoping to use this as a auger wear warning sign. I do know that fines may change according to supplier and also perhaps as your bin decreases. When I moved my stoker from the home / apartment conversion where I had obtained it from every time I moved that pot. I got fines coming out of it , and I had it for three years before I got it operationa with fines coming out all the time. Also a melted auger and Aluminum pipe where part of the package. Since the house housed tenants it never got shaken down and why it was replaced with Oil. As to fines. I get three heaping tablespoons every time I shake down daily. It that normal or abnormal.

I think it's normal too.
