Edit: Do you intend to leave the smoke pipe necked down to 6"?
Rob, I missed this earlier.

I was considering removing the 6" piece and installing the largest size pipe that I could fit but I only have a standard 8x8" chimney with clay liner, so the inside is about 7x7" I think. Should I do a 7" pipe right out of the chimney and adapt to 8 or can you make 8 work with some of the hole being blocked by the edges of the flue tile??

Thanks,
Joe

Update: I have installed the LOGO to act as my timer (replaced the will-burt). The LOGO was easy to program and is nice and quite compared to the Will-burt. I like how I can adjust the on and off times using the LCD readout and watch the timer counting as well. I packaged everything in a 6x6x4 standard box with knockouts so the wiring was pretty easy. To anyone who was thinking about the LOGO as a replacement timer (or adding more functions as VermontDay did) I can assure you that it isn't difficult.

Thanks,
Joe
