First, do some searching and reading on here , there are many threads concerning this same question..from many of the members.

What is current rating of your boiler you are using? A lot of questions need to be answered and bit more info on your current setup and a variety of Boiler Mfr's to choose from depending on your situation, budget, etc....

Which Boiler to Buy

Which Boiler to Buy?

EFM, Keystoker, or AHS

Also, check your local zoning laws concerning putting it in your garage.

That amount of square feet appears to be well within AHS S260 boiler territory. AHS = Alternate Heating Systems

Word of caution S260 is beastly youre in between sizes. Do a heat load calc and figure out what you need.

Are you planning on hooper or bin?
How much room for the boiler?
How much do you want to spend?
Are you going to burn all season?
Do you need to control BTU output for summer?

The coal jack would also work.

Also, check you local building codes, some municipalities do not allow open flame appliances in garages.
