Can the 520 keep a fire going with proper draft controls with no other calls for heat other than a 2.5 minute timer run every hour, 4 fuel and 4 air ratio? I need to conserve coal until a I build a proper bin as it is being used in a out building. There will be a gravity flow 42k propeller unit heate being used with gravity flow onlyl to a floor above.

If all your settings are correct, you can idle it forever, but you'll have to find those settings. But they are so easy to start up, why idle it?

My 520 will run until it runs out of coal at those settings. Actually, I only run the timer for 1 minute every half hour in this weather, in the summer I run 2-2.5 minutes every half hour.

thank you .......... that is the empirical data im looking for . do you extract any heat from the boiler as I am doing via gravity flow to a propeller unit heater?

I have no dump zone or intentional heat loss.
