Lookin good there Chris! Looks like there will be ZERO shivering in your household for many years to come.

In between looking at your new equipment I couldn't help but notice how BEAUTIFUL your property is there! Nice looking across the street and seeing nothing but fields. My kind of livin'.

Wish I could have made it by there on my last trip, but next time I'll make a point to make the time to get over there.

Where did you get all the cast iron radiators?

1948 to 1951 viewing door little Sq one Being 1951 was the first year for standard 520 new designed door round were being used on both from there on However some early 52 had sq door left over stock they used what they had on had until they where gone then new cast of rounds where being used they cast hundreds of doors at a time
The radiators came from the same persons where the EFM highboy came from

Plan on removing those reducer bushings from the return ports...I have installed two 520's and got burned by a leaky bushing on each one. It is easy to install fresh ones with good tape/dope when the boiler is in the shop...but when it is all piped it is a different story. Black RTV or Teflon tape & GRRIP pipe dope is the way to go.

Should of not had any leaky bushing being your unit was Just taking out of service and was pressure tested before and
after the refurbish reducer bushing could of been loosened up during install of new pipes or during refurbishing
Should of picked the phone up and made a call you would of had new reducer sent to you no charge

I understand the radiators came from a recent house remodel job, and the owner did not want Rads anymore!
I am looking for a few more of this style, if anyone is getting rid of them.

No complaints here. As I re-read my post I realized that the use of the word "burned" was not a good idea. I meant that I had to deal with fixing a leak, not that I was physically burned by hot water. I think the bushing probably got jarred in transport or when the return line was installed. It held pressure for one week before it started leaking.

In any case, it wasn't worth bothering you guys for a replacement, we had a new one in the "miscellaneous plumbing fittings drawer".

Well should of called anyway Rob That's why there is a warranty given with each unit that leaves from the shop

They also made a custom line of covers with a swing away door that style is my favorite

I saw the swing-away cabinet door in a house in Center Valley, PA. Dave O'Neil carted it away.
