New Leisure Line 110 Boiler Arrived...

Hello everyone...Well, my LL110 boiler arrived last night, I thought everyone here would like to know...Yes..It was deliverd, and a lot of you may be familiar with the driver...his name is Matt, and he claims to be part owner of a place called Leisue Line Stove Co...lol.
Yes, Matt took the ride East over to me in RI, which I am very grateful for. I will say, that after being on this forum for several months now, and hearing nothing but good things about LL products and the fine customer service, that when the time came for me to make a descision, this played a major role...So Matt is going to give all of you out there a tiny commission on the sale, right Matt??
But seriously, true to the reputation that preceded him, Matt came thru, and made the transaction happen with his fine effort...
So it is here..and I and a relative will be (attempting) to plumb the bad boy in conjunction with a ..ready? existing wood boiler in the near future..
Yes..the new LL will be replacing an existing Oil boiler...my first thoughts were that it would replace the Wood boiler, but recent world events made me re-think that, and I like having as many options as possible...If push came to shove, I have woodlands behind me ready to meet the blade of my Stihl chain saw..
So I will keep you posted, and hope to be a future source for anyone who has questions about the boiler usage ...In the mean time, please tune in often 'cuz the new beauty doesn't come with a manual! ( had to tweak you there Matt!
) so I may be left to picking your brains!

Pretty uptown dude
Yes, my wood burning beast is still hook up in the back part of the house. I only use it when the kids come up in the winter which isn't often, because they don't like me. I put them all right out to haying in the summer.

I just realized there is no, "This Thread is Worthless Without Pics" smiley. Mr. Mayor, you might want to get on that.
But, at any rate. Congrats on the new boiler. Like I said before, pics. The thread is worthless without them. We want, before, during, after pics.

I understand your desire to keep the wood thing
but with two solid fuel appliances - you really don't have a fault tolerant backup energy source
Keep the wood thing
Install the LL
but if you have the room- and it don't need much - keep the OB too -- if you have two its a snap to tie in a third.

Thanks for the concern, Sting...but the LL has an oil gun too...with out that, I would not have gone with the set up as stated. FYI-I ordered the Dan Holohan books today that you had referenced in another post...

All I know is that I spoke to him originally around 10 AM, and he said he was leaving then, but he didn't get to my house until 7:15 PM!...there must be some good bars in CT I'm thinkin' ...he did seem awful happy!

Stoker_RI congrats!!!! If I didn't already have a boiler, I would 100% be ordering that LL 110K. In fact, I wanted it so bad, I almost got rid of my KA-4 to get it.
Do you mind if I stop by to see the boiler? I'm in northern RI also!!! Don't put your town on the forum. P.M. me. I'm skeptical of gov't trolls on these forums.

LOL...It's REALLY funny that you say that...! I didn't sleep well last night, and got up for a little bit, at like 3 AM, and went into the garage, (where the boiler is), and when I came back to bed the wife had evidently been awoken and she said to me: "Do you want to bring your pillow out there to??"..lol

How fast is the changeover to oil? If it involves any human interaction - well its not the fault tolerant fail over I would want
no harm to befoul you - but what happens if the kind folks at the emergency room decide not to let you leave, to tend any sort of coal drama?
With a stand alone OB ( or resistance is my preference ) integrated with the system - the load is automatically picked up and the dwelling is safe.
ok this smacks of pouting advice as Lisa accuses me - so Ill just do what I can if you ask questions
BTW --> Good choice on the books, even if some think comics are no longer a valid venue of entertainment.
Kind Regards
Sting
