That's a great idea with the super sack, how do you fill the super sack.
I bought a couple, I think they were $5 each and they gave me an extra one for good measure.

The coal truck chutes the wet coal (no dust!) through the basement window into the hanging bag permanently mounted to each skid. As each skid gets full, we put another skid under the window. We have 5 skids, 4 of them will hold 5 tons total, which empties the coal truck.
Each skid has 2- 14" x 24" x 3/16" thick steel slide gates. The slide gates can be shut off at anytime to remove skids from the floor auger box.

See the attached video below showing the coal truck.

Hey LoschStoker,
how about some pics of that nice look'in rig you got there? I'm Heavily leaning toward buying a used stoker boiler and this thread as been very helpful. The more boiler pics and info, the better.

And, Here are some pics of my old late 70's Wood Chuck hand fired boiler. This was a test rig that I came up with, some threaded pipe and an old 82 gallon water heater I found in the well house. Sadly, I mover before I ever go a chance to hook it up in the old farm house. Looks like a bomb!

I LOVE your palletized coal delivery system! I've been trying to figure out how I could move bulk coal to a boiler if I placed one in the center of my basement. Thanks for the idea!

Here is the Van Wert 400 I installed this fall. So far it burns quite well and is really stingey on the coal

Wow, Nice look'in Van Wert. I haven't seen many pics of Van Werts, I didn't know that some have a window in the fire door? I want to get a stoker boiler but, one of the problems is the small fire door and no other way to see whats go'in one in there. May be I should hunt for an old Van Wert?

Darn... I guess I would have to find a stove door with glass in it that would fit in the fire door location. I too am one that likes to sit and watch the flamming "gates of hell" that my stokers put out.
