Don, I just realized that I posted back that I installed the pump in the bypass, not so. It is installed in the return line, but it is close to the bypass, not much options for the placement.

Q. I plan to run vertical pipe to the floor, but I have to get a piece. It is a KAA-2, Keystokers instructions require the bladder tank off the top of the boiler, not much I could do other than that. The tank I installed for the domestic coil is in line.

Coaledsweat, good idea on the dirt leg.

Here are some pics of my little Gentleman Janitor GJ-671. I converted this to run an EFM S-15 stoker unit.

This boiler was converted to oil a long time ago. They mounted the oil gun right in the fire door.

I cut the hole square and mounted a piece of 6"x6" wood stove glass in it. Now I have a fire view Gentleman Janitor!

This one was done quick & dirty. I cut an EFM sized hole in the GJ stoker mounting plate, drilled the 3 holes for the EFM feed pipe sealing collar and nailed it together.

I flushed the boiler out real good and that's all. The EFM was a running unit and I just stuck it in there. After I got it running, I had to re-face the drive pawl so it would stop skipping teeth.

Very nice fire but seems to me not enough air because the ash ring has hot red coal over the ash ring. I would suggest giving it just a little bit more air so you have just ashes over the ash ring. And the center will become a darker spot. Just what I see from the picture. Happy New Year :)

That is a nice hy-bred setup !
I'm very interested in the performance of Bob's 700 stoker during warm weather, if he has it fired ?
It's been a while sense I have seen Bob post. So hopefully he will have time to reply .

Thanks guys for the comps, Yes I did burn it through the summer for DHW. Timer came on 2 min every hour and only went on high limit a few times in the 90+ weather. never lost the fire, cleaned it twice in the early and mid summer. Burning Lehigh buck and very happy with it. It really hums along in in the sub zero weather and the auto ash removal new this past summer works great. Bill (bobok)
