Some of the aquastats are rebuilt, not new. Check the description carefully.
After checking out on ebay, I see some more number after the part number I want, now, what do I really want?
It like I need the 2nd part of the part number and I don't see that on EFM site.
Thank for your help

It's possible you can't buy a new 8124A anymore. I think they stopped making them a couple years ago and the only ones for sale are those who stockpiled them or rebuilt them. They were replaced by the 7224A electronic aquastat.
We had alot of returns of the new aquastat compared to almost none of the old model. The even older 8124s with the red circuit board would last for decades. The newer green board 8124s would suffer from broken solder joints which some people would reheat and save the unit. Generally return rates were low.
I think there is a learning curve with the newer 7224s and dealers would just replace them because they didn't know how to use them, so maybe they don't deserve the bad rap. But finding a new 8124A is getting harder by the day. efm was still able to get them new and may have some in stock.

I installed a 7224A on my Dad's 520, it works excellent. If you are buying new, take a look at a Hydrostat 3150 combination low water cutoff & aquastat.
here on ebay, I found this that replace the L8124A
This universal controller replaces: L8124A,C.,L8148A, L7124A,C,U., L7224A,C., and 7148A
Honeywell L7224 U1002 Oil Electronic Aquastat Controller 120 Vac with Enviracom/Leds
what you guys think?
