About 10K depending on accessories.

AA is a little more, EFM a little less,(plus they have a 1500.00 tax credit). Don't forget to add in the things that make an install safe and efficient.  :|

Check the tax credit. I'm almost sure it expired or changed effective Dec. 31, 2010. I think it's now a percentage of total installation cost with a max limit. Not as good as the expired flat credit.

I believe the tax credit is now 10% with a cap of only $300. Not much compared to the credit that expired in 2010 which was 15% with a cap of $1500. This 10% can not be applied to the installation cost like the old credit. As far as coal stoker boilers go; only one that I know of that can get the credit is the EFM because it proved that it could burn pellets with the required efficiency of either 70 or 75%.

The town I live in recently built a new Middle school and spent over a million dollars on the HVAC system. The exact cost escapes me at the moment. Our new school is 75,000 square feet approximately.

Based on the square footage, two S1500 units would have been sufficient to heat and provide enough DHW for the entire school. Besides saving $ 500,000 for the initial purchase, the fuel savings would have been just as significant. Also, several board meetings have pointed out that the schools new highly advanced "energy efficient" HVAC system has not been performing as expected or predicted.
